Job Summary

At ALLO Communications, we're seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic Cabling Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you'll be responsible for installing and testing fiber optic cabling pathways in commercial buildings, ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install fiber optic EMT/ENT cabling pathways, CAT 6, and fiber, into facilities following industry and company standards.
  • Test light levels in newly installed or relocated fiber in accordance with established procedures and company standards.
  • Keep EMT/ENT/PVC pathways secured while maintaining company and safety standards.
  • Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting fiber-optic and low-voltage pathways.
  • Ability to lift approx. 60 pounds safely.
  • Identify, track, and remove abandoned conduit pathways when needed.
  • Be able to work in various environments, including outdoors in varying degrees of weather, working at heights on ladders or lifts, and in small, confined spaces.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scissor lifts while following industry and company standards.
  • Ability to stand on ladders for periods of time.
  • Record time and materials used to use mobile and computer applications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of construction experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts on the job.
  • Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles.
  • Ability to work overtime on a voluntary basis.
