Job Summary

The University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director for Continuous Quality Improvement to join their team. This role will support the development of comprehensive professional development plans in partnership with external partners, leveraging data from the WA Workforce Research and Landscape Analysis. The successful candidate will have significant experience in leading a team and overseeing staff development and performance management, as well as a strong understanding of childcare quality research and early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage content projects for coach certificate and other coach training pathways
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and support to Early Achievers coaches through professional learning teams, regionally based consultation, and skill-based webinars and materials for scaffolded learning to providers and promoting resiliency
  • Foster ongoing positive and productive relationships with Washington partners such as Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), Child Care Aware (CCA), School's Out Washington (SOWA), and regional leaders
  • Use independent judgment related to coaching support, determining if, when, and to whom issues need to be discussed related to coaching practice and supervision
  • Provide oversight of team content projects and write high-quality content for trainings, courses, micro-learning, credentials, and other professional pathways
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Education and Adult Learning, or Public Policy, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in the field related to early learning, childcare quality, and coaching
  • Significant experience in leading a team and overseeing staff development and performance management as needed
  • Knowledge of childcare quality research
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education, Professional Development, and Coaching
