About the Role

The Finance Director will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of Asociacion Puertorriquenos En Marcha Inc. This position will be responsible for managing all fiscal activities, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage the general ledger, including account setup, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Supervise and train staff on financial procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement financial controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 4 years of accounting experience with increased responsibility during the term of employment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community development, affordable housing, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of governmental accounting procedures and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
