Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the department's financial reporting and variance processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain a system of internal controls to ensure the reliability and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the department's Chief Operating Officer and Central CPUP Finance to develop financial analytics and align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient satisfaction and access, and model financial implications to drive strategy.
  • Present financial data and lead discussions with stakeholders, including the Chair, Division Chief, and Health System/PSOM Administration.
Requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of hands-on general accounting experience required; physician practice plan experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and standards.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks with deadlines and pressure.
  • Proficiency in standard software packages, including Lawson, Hyperion Reports and Planning, EPIC, and Essbase.
