KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Market Manager in delivering daily operational support, including coaching and practical training for team members. Promote a workplace culture that reflects PODS' core values. Timely report employee-related issues to the Market Manager and Regional HRBP; maintain consistent communication with Human Resources for all personnel management needs, including accident documentation, disciplinary records, employee evaluations, and personnel reporting. Ensure consistent application of PODS performance management processes across all assigned team members. Engage in quarterly and annual review processes to provide constructive feedback to all assigned personnel. Monitor Samsara Software/Video and communicate any violations to the Market Manager. Support the Market Manager in conducting daily pre-shift meetings at each Storage Center. Provide assistance with dispatching and time-stamping for drivers. Aid the Market Manager in ensuring that all team members adhere to PODS standards for branding (uniforms, containers, equipment) and customer interactions (prior customer notifications, equipment demonstrations, delivery site evaluations, and feedback solicitation). Review and authorize payroll each pay cycle. Conduct monthly inspections of all warehouses and drop yards in the market; lead audits for compliance. Ensure compliance with Associate Certification and OSHA regulations. Participate in quarterly self-audits. Assist the Market Manager in maintaining safe, clean, organized, and functional storage centers and staging areas. Foster a safety-oriented culture where all employees are accountable for upholding a safe work environment. Encourage the reporting of unsafe conditions and promote continuous improvement in safety practices. Clearly communicate safety expectations and updates to all staff members. Lead by example by adhering to all safety protocols and demonstrating a commitment to safety. Perform additional duties as assigned.MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Typically reports to the Market Manager. This position is directly responsible for overseeing other employees, including hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, as well as performance management. Example job titles of employees directly supervised include Storage Center and Delivery Driver Staff.JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma required; college degree preferred or a minimum of 1 year of prior management experience. Ability to apply for and successfully obtain a CDL Class B License or higher. Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license from the state of assignment. Must be able to achieve PODS forklift certification. Ability to obtain a valid DOT medical card. Mechanical aptitude is essential for identifying equipment issues.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit at a desk and utilize a computer for up to 8 hours daily; ability to use hands and fingers for typing and navigating a mouse. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours daily; ability to stoop, bend, and lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to sit; use hands for handling or feeling; reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone or headset.#App1
