Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System in Landover, MD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles. This includes oil changes, brake and tire work, and other mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and other mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including interacting with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints.
  • Perform other support duties as required to support operations.
Requirements:
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
