Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paratransit Driver to join our team at National Express Transit. As a Paratransit Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to passengers with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate paratransit vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist passengers with disabilities, ensuring their safe and comfortable transportation.
  • Report any maintenance issues or accidents to the maintenance team in a timely manner.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including route change sheets and vehicle repair requests.
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet physical and medical requirements.
  • Must pass substance abuse screening and complete all training and safety meetings.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Paratransit Driver.
  • Ability to lift and assist passengers when necessary.
  • High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of vehicles.
