Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and direct the activities of Radiation Protection Technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
2. Develop and implement work schedules and technical assignments while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
3. Ensure that all operations meet or exceed the standards set forth by regulatory bodies and industry best practices.
4. Provide administrative oversight for essential elements of the radiation protection program.
5. Manage team performance and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of four years of experience in radiation protection, including at least one year in a nuclear facility.
- Experience with ALARA program implementation.
- Supervisory experience and strong planning skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and data management.
- Strong knowledge of health physics regulations and programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science or a related field.
