Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of an IT Asset Management Specialist to enhance our asset management efforts at Hanscom AFB. This role is a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Primary Property Custodian in executing asset management duties.
  • Assist in adhering to local ECO and DoD standards, training, and utilizing authorized tracking systems/databases/SharePoint platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with government, Air Force, and local regulations regarding hardware asset management.
  • Act as an alternate property custodian, fulfilling relevant responsibilities such as reconciliations and documentation as requested by the Primary Custodian.
  • Prepare necessary documentation including Staff Summary Sheets, Appointment letters, technology refresh recommendations, and ROS's for government approval as needed.
  • Execute lifecycle management tasks in line with established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct local training and employ approved tracking systems/databases/SharePoint for effective unit IT property management.
  • Provide support and guidance to personnel within the customer organization on asset management practices.
  • Prepare MICT Communicators for government validation and approval when necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset management processes. High School diploma or GED required. Proficiency with Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with computer hardware and peripheral devices for identification and tracking is essential. Ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively. Strong customer service and communication skills are a must. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess a current Secret clearance.

Selected applicants will undergo a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
