About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at OCLI Vision. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and ancillary patient testing, including gathering and documenting patient information and history.
  • Apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes and collect and process specimens for testing.
  • Triage emergency cases appropriately into physicians' schedules and maintain patient flow.
  • Prepare patient and procedure rooms and assist ophthalmologists with procedures as needed.
  • Perform first-level maintenance on equipment and notify the office manager of any equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of ocular pharmacology, including anesthetics, steroids, antibiotics, and other medications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
