We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multifamily Property Manager to join our team at American Property Management. As a Community Director - Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our 280-unit garden-style community, ensuring excellent curb appeal and adherence to property policies.
Key Responsibilities- Property Management
- Conduct daily property walks to ensure the property is well-maintained and meets our high standards.
- Approve and maintain timecards for office and maintenance staff members.
- Maintain high occupancy rates while focusing on resident retention.
- Sales and Marketing
- Handle sales and marketing ventures and promote the company and property.
- Track and handle revenue and expenses.
- Team Management
- Train, develop, and manage the performance of team members as needed in compliance with American Property Management policies and procedures.
- CapEx Projects
- Manage and oversee multiple CapEx projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new construction within the communities.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and scopes of work; ensure projects adhere to these parameters.
- 5+ years' experience in the multifamily/student housing industry within the last 10 years required.
- 3+ years of experience managing an apartment community, including oversight and management of employees.
- Must be well-versed in Federal Fair Housing Laws, landlord-tenant laws, and ADA Laws.
- Must have experience managing market-rate communities.
- Must have experience managing Class A and/or Class B communities.
- Proven experience overseeing CapEx projects in a multi-family setting.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Customer service experience required.
- On-site and/or Knock experience preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
- Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
- Shows responsibility and takes pride in their work.
- Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
