Job Title: Senior Principal Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Test Engineer to join our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans for Analog Silicon ASIC devices, ensuring high-quality test software and hardware solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in microelectronic manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans for Analog Silicon ASIC devices, ensuring high-quality test software and hardware solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in microelectronic manufacturing.
  • Ensure configuration control of test software and hardware, test quality, test documentation quality, test equipment calibration, and compliance to customer documents.
  • Develop and maintain test software and hardware, including daily and forward-looking test scheduling, test data integrity, equipment/software improvements, and supporting the procurement of test equipment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 9 years related experience or a Master's Degree with 7 years' experience or a PhD with 4 years of related experience.
  • Direct semiconductor test engineering experience.
  • Direct experience in working with a team of test and product engineers.
  • Software skills in a modern language such as C#, Python, C++ or Java.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience with testing Analog & Mixed-Signal circuits (amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, PLLs), and Power Management circuits (regulators, drivers, etc).
  • Direct experience with wafer or die ATE testing, NI Semiconductor Test System (STS) is preferred.
  • Experience with NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
  • Experience with 150mm, 200mm, and 300mm prober operation, as well as package part handling.
  • Experience with ATE hardware PCB design and layout.
  • Direct hands-on experience building, debugging, and repairing test hardware.
  • Direct hands-on experience working with test equipment (oscilloscopes, source-measure units, digital multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.) and GPIB communications.
  • Direct hands-on experience writing, debugging, and optimizing test programs.
  • Experience with statistical process control methodologies and software.
  • Exhibit leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, both inside and outside of work environment (professional/community/extracurricular).
  • Direct experience in preparing and presenting presentations to cross-functional teams.
