Position Overview

In the role of College Access Coach, members of the AmeriCorps program engage with middle school students across Washington State, delivering essential college readiness initiatives tailored for specific school districts. These coaches collaborate with educational institutions to execute comprehensive college readiness programs, promote awareness of College Bound initiatives, and facilitate academic enrichment activities. Additionally, they play a crucial role in mentoring students and fostering their social skills and leadership capabilities.

The efforts of the College Access Coaches are pivotal in cultivating a college-going culture within schools, ultimately enhancing the aspirations of low-income and underserved students regarding higher education.
