Job Overview

Context Labs is seeking a seasoned Backend Software Engineer to drive forward our product initiatives with the ImmutablyTM Platform and analytics spaces. As a key member of our development team, you will lead the development of our platform services, APIs, and related product capabilities, providing thought leadership and upskilling of less senior engineers.

This role will report to the VP, Engineering, and will involve collaborating with other development teams and the product owner to define and estimate business requirements, translating these into specific software tasks. You will also lead hands-on software development in various projects and languages, providing exemplary code, structure, design, and documentation for the platform services team to use as guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical authority on the API services engineering team.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and services for use within the ImmutablyTM Platform.
  • Collaborate with other development teams and the product owner to define and estimate business requirements.
  • Lead hands-on software development in various projects and languages.
  • Provide exemplary code, structure, design, and documentation for the platform services team.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Great communication skills.
  • End-to-end understanding of modern application architectures.
  • Big picture orientation with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort in working with and implementing highly abstract concepts and complex architectures.
