Job Title: Radio Telecommunications Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Telecommunications Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to telecommunications systems, including communication errors and electronic equipment issues.
  • Implementation: Deploy and configure new telecommunications systems or upgrades, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software components.
  • Design: Create plans, blueprints, and engineering specifications for telecommunications infrastructure, including circuitry and layout for effective communication systems.
  • Research and Evaluation: Gather technical information and evaluate new products and services from vendors, staying informed about industry developments.
  • Legal Compliance and Planning: Research federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies, developing long- and short-term plans for system updates and enhancements.
  • Site Selection and Development: Locate suitable communications sites, conduct radio surveys, and draft construction drawings for site development.
  • Equipment Inventory and Verification: Maintain and analyze the inventory of telecommunications equipment, verifying proper frequency use and assignment.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience related to land mobile radio Frequency Modulation (FM) two-way radio
  • Experience coming from a Networking IT background (routers, switches, etc.)
