Chief Revenue Strategist

As a Chief Revenue Strategist at Databricks, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and strategic initiatives. With 15+ years of business experience and 7+ years of accounting expertise in revenue or related areas, you will develop and execute global revenue strategies aligned with corporate goals.
About the Role- Develop and lead technical revenue policy at scale to foster robust professional relationships with key business partners, external auditors, and the executive team.
- Prepare detailed technical accounting memos to support financial reporting and compliance, collaborating closely with the Company's external auditors on all revenue-related audit issues.
- Design, implement, and manage order-to-revenue controls to support Sarbanes Oxley compliance, ensuring accurate revenue recognition interpretations and efficient order-to-cash operations.
- Partner with Commercialization, Marketing, and Business Development to provide thought leadership and strategy on technical revenue recognition policy matters and global processes.
- Mentor and build a high-performing team that embodies Databricks' values and culture, while maintaining open communication and collaboration across teams and locations.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in thinking strategically about revenue functions and their detailed aspects.
- Leadership experience aligning project goals with organization and sponsor goals, managing ambiguity, risk, and changing project directions.
- Acute business acumen and understanding of ASC 606 Revenue issues and challenges.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $162,500 - $287,500 USD, annual performance bonus eligibility, equity, and comprehensive benefits tailored to your needs.
