Key Responsibilities

What is the role of the Administrative Support Division?

The position encompasses various duties that are essential for effective organizational operations, including:
  • Understanding administrative principles and practices to identify and suggest improvements in policies and procedures.
  • Utilizing analytical techniques to assess data and recommend actions based on findings.
  • Demonstrating skills in gathering, validating, and interpreting information to formulate recommendations.
  • Applying knowledge of regulatory standards to provide accurate information and foster effective relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
This role offers opportunities for career advancement. Candidates may start at a lower grade level and progress non-competitively as they gain experience and demonstrate capability.

Employment Conditions

Qualifications

Prior federal experience is not mandatory. Relevant experience can be gained in various sectors, including public, private, or volunteer services.

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the outlined requirements:

Specialized Experience GS-11 Level: Candidates should possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal government, which includes:
  • Experience in data integration and report preparation.
  • Providing administrative guidance to stakeholders.
  • Coordinating services and conducting process evaluations.
OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in any field.

OR Three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a doctoral degree.

OR A combination of graduate education and experience equivalent to the above.

Specialized Experience GS-12 Level: Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level in the Federal Government, demonstrating knowledge and skills in:
  • Data analysis and report generation.
  • Advising on administrative functions.
  • Conducting studies to evaluate program effectiveness.
