About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Head of Animal Care and Welfare to join our team at the ASPCA. As a key member of our Community Medicine team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to animals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a team of veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional care to animals in our community clinics.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and morale.
  • Medical Care and Services
    • Provide high-quality medical care to animals, including preventive and basic care, as well as complex medical procedures.
    • Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of medical services.
  • Administrative and Operational Tasks
    • Manage clinic operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective clinic operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
