About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Specialist Senior to join our team at Maricopa County. As a key member of our organization, you will provide complex and varied administrative support to our Bureau of Internal Oversight/Community Outreach Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide highly responsible and confidential administrative support independently and with initiative and minimal guidance.
  • Administer programs and processes specific to the bureaus and divisions being supported.
  • Maintain scheduling for Division Commander and staff, and create, update, and maintain complex spreadsheets, databases, and reports.
  • Provide customer service by phone, email, and in person, and respond to questions related to Division operations.
  • Assist supervisor and command staff with researching, compiling, and analyzing complex data, and report results to Command staff.
  • Monitor and track budget and purchases, and assist in purchasing, accounting, payroll, and fiscal account duties in support of the Division budget.
  • Process confidential/sensitive material and information, and comprehend and interpret Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Policy and Procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience, or combined education and experience qualifications.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license or ability to obtain by time of hire.
  • Training in FEMA NIMS - IS100 and 700, Safety, Payroll, and PREA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree.
  • Experience providing administrative support in the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office or a law enforcement agency.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
