Senior Maintenance Mechanic

At Synerfac, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Review maintenance plans and coordinate with external contractors when necessary to meet deadlines for repairs.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the FT Maintenance Software.
  • Regularly inspect machinery for signs of malfunction through visual and auditory checks.
  • Utilize various power and hand tools to perform repairs and replace parts as needed.
  • Effectively supervise team members in a noisy environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in collaborating with team members or assisting where needed.
  • Repair, install, adjust, or maintain machines or vehicles as required.
  • Document all work performed in writing and enter records into the Preventative Maintenance (PM) software.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on food production line equipment as per department procedures and regulatory audits.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, consumables, and change tooling equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, assembly, and testing of new machinery and equipment when necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • General mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including Industrial Electrical Knowledge (480v) on panels, conveyors, motors, and sensors.
  • Mechanical maintenance experience, particularly with pumps, gears, motors, and sprockets.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency with computers, especially in a Windows environment.
  • Willingness to diagnose and fix problems hands-on.
  • Flexibility to work outdoors as needed.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including alternating weekends and holidays.
  • Understanding of assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures in accordance with specifications or plumbing codes.
  • Familiarity with Fast Track Maintenance Software is a plus.
  • Experience in the food industry is required.
