Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer, DC Applications will manage business processes and systems analysis across many applications to support assigned business units. This role will lead the administration of business systems and efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of business systems and efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
  • Ensure appropriate design, maintenance, and delivery of training to users of assigned systems.
  • Prioritize, direct, and coordinate activities of staff to gather and document requirements, triage and resolve technical problems, and execute project duties, responsibilities, and tasks.
  • Responsible for ensuring that business systems analysis activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide supervision to assigned staff, including activities such as hiring, counseling, guiding, training, and delivery of disciplinary processes as required.
  • Assist the QA and UAT Testing of the solution developed.
  • Deploy the solution in production after it passes QA and UAT testing.
  • Provide post-Go-Live Support after deploying the solution to production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • 8 years of experience directly related to the supported and connected business areas with an aptitude for both application systems and operational business process development.
  • Experience in vertical or retail environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Manhattan WMOS (warehouse management for open systems) implementation & support. SCPP product version 2011 and above.
  • Experience in Manhattan Suite of products Labor Management, Yard Management, and Slotting will be a plus.
  • Knowledge in MHE integration/Robotics system with Manhattan WMOS will be a plus.
  • Experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external systems, documenting, and mapping current business processes is a must for this role.
  • Desired Technical Skills: UNIX, LINUX, Java, Python, Oracle, C, C++, SQL, COGNOS. Should be an expert level in SQL, with good understanding of one any one of the programming languages listed in the Technical Skills.
