Job Overview

Position Summary:

The RV Park Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the RV Park facilities. This role requires performing maintenance duties at an experienced apprentice level throughout the park, including sites and buildings, with meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Adhere to all operational policies and procedures of the RV Park.
  • Guide guests to their designated sites and address any inquiries they may have.
  • Provide a warm welcome to all guests and assist with any questions or concerns during their stay, ensuring a pleasant experience while following park regulations.
  • Stay informed about ongoing shows, promotions, and upcoming events in the resort and surrounding area.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and recommend necessary maintenance to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain logs for all repairs and replacements needed.
  • Ensure the clubhouse and on-site laundry facilities are accessible.
  • Collect waste from sites.
  • Keep all restrooms and showers clean and well-maintained.
  • Order, stock, and receive supplies for the RV Park.
  • Foster a positive and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
  • Engage in landscaping activities, including mowing, leaf removal, and dog park maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred two (2) years of prior maintenance experience or equivalent education and training.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Availability to work during holidays, evenings, and weekends as necessary.
  • Proficient in writing reports and correspondence professionally.
  • Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
  • Standard vision and hearing, with or without corrective aids.
