Job Summary

Kettering Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team as an Echo/Vascular Technician. This is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in performing echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds following ICAEL and ICAVL accredited guidelines.
  • Work closely with Cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and Radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment to produce high-quality ultrasound images.
  • Collaborate with other interdisciplinary personnel to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with new procedures and equipment, and adapt to changing patient needs.
Requirements
  • Registry by Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • ECHO certification
  • Registered in both adult echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) and vascular ultrasound (RVS or RVT)
  • Graduated from an accredited school of Ultrasound/Sonography
Preferred Qualifications
  • Echo & Vascular On-Call Required
  • Must be registered in one modality and become registered in the other modality within 6 months
  • Must live within 30 minutes of hospital
