POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a proficient Maintenance Technician II to enhance our maintenance operations within the indoor farming sector. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, excellent teamwork capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs on mechanical systems and components.
  • Perform complex electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance procedures effectively.
  • Oversee a designated functional area and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide junior maintenance personnel.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and food safety standards, fostering a secure workplace.
  • Collaborate with planners to optimize maintenance schedules and tasks.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and assessments.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and compliance tracking.
  • Be available for on-call support during critical incidents.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the organization.
  • Ensure tools and workspaces are organized and well-maintained.
  • Operate various powered industrial equipment safely.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Strong electrical skills, including schematic reading and meter usage (120, 240, 480VAC, 24VDC).
  • Experience with HVAC and hydronic systems is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs and sensors.
  • Proficient in safe operation of warehouse machinery.
  • Knowledge of safety compliance measures, including LOTO and confined space protocols.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform various manual tasks.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Comfortable working in diverse environmental conditions.

  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and water filtration systems.
  • Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
