Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation of the central boiler facility, including the initiation and cessation of boiler systems, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections to ensure efficient steam production.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations and conditions; analyze data to rectify non-optimal practices; oversee water treatment; monitor warranties; test the functionality of the central boiler plant; conduct periodic inspections of inactive equipment; and perform cleaning, preservation, lubrication, and adjustments of plant machinery.
  • Guarantee the optimal and continuous functioning of mechanical systems through regular inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering devices, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Uphold system integrity by scheduling routine inspections, cleanings, filter replacements, and other essential tasks to ensure all components operate at peak performance; identify and rectify or replace faulty components.
  • Promote safety by overseeing safety equipment, recognizing potential hazards, and taking appropriate measures to halt operations and address issues.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fully trained and qualified to perform the outlined duties and possess the necessary boiler license as mandated by the Department of Labor and Industry, Business Standards Division.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of boiler systems, plumbing, electrical systems, pipefitting, and machinery operations.
  • Familiarity with boiler regulations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to understand and compile relevant technical documentation.
