Business Development Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our team at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with customers, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct lead generation activities, including cold calling, networking, and other prospecting methods.
  • Meet with customers and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities and understand their business needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to implement customer solutions and participate in kick-off meetings.
  • Monitor account health, review customer KPIs, and ensure adherence to agreements.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, or a similar field.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or a related field.
  • Accounting, finance, transportation law, HR, or personnel experience.
  • Skilled communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop sales plans and drive revenue growth.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay will be based on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes.
