Primary Duties
- Oversees the integration of components and products, focusing on maximizing performance and operability across multiple components. Manages product and system requirements, specifications, and their flow down. Drives validation and verification processes for the overall product/system, including system-level testing. Defines product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partner teams. Manages interfaces between components and execution teams.
Leads critical-to-quality (CTQ) and risk assessments within the design teams. Oversees product configuration and the configuration control system. - Develops specialized expertise in the field. Acts as a resource for best practices and quality assurance. Stays informed about the latest technical advancements in the discipline. Contributes to the development of strategies and policies, ensuring effective delivery within the area of responsibility.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of best practices and understands how their area integrates with others; maintains awareness of competitive dynamics and differentiators in the market.
- Utilizes judgment to make decisions or address moderately complex challenges in operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Approaches existing solutions from new perspectives. Applies technical experience and expertise in data analysis to support informed recommendations. Leverages multiple internal and limited external sources to reach decisions.
- Serves as a mentor for less experienced colleagues. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource needs. Communicates complex or sensitive information effectively; works towards building consensus. Develops persuasive skills necessary to influence others on relevant topics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrated experience in leading programs and projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively.
- Established project management expertise.
This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government if applicable.
