Job Title: Interim Executive Vice President, AFP Foundations for Philanthropy

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Interim Executive Vice President of the AFP Foundations for Philanthropy. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of professionals dedicated to advancing philanthropic investment and impact in the nonprofit sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the AFP Foundations for Philanthropy, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure resources and support for the organization's programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, staff, and governing board to facilitate the development and implementation of both short and long-term philanthropic strategic goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and funders.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns and programs, ensuring effective stewardship of resources and maximizing impact.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 15 years senior administrative/management experience in the philanthropic or non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, with a focus on securing principal gifts and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of systems, including education, research, and leadership development related to issues and priorities in philanthropy and the greater non-profit sector.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $140,000 - $165,000 annually.
