Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a diverse team to strategize, design, and implement large-scale industrial projects within the power generation industry.
  • Conduct mechanical design, perform hand calculations, prepare technical documentation, and establish analysis criteria for various components.
  • Design and evaluate tanks, pressure vessels, and similar structures.
  • Integrate multiple mechanical systems and components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Engage in the physical assembly and testing of hardware prototypes, confirming adherence to design specifications.
  • Create fixtures and tooling to facilitate assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including scheduling, resource distribution, and budget management, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Enhance designs for manufacturability, considering assembly techniques, tolerances, and reducing manufacturing complexities.
  • Contribute to the design of reactor internals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A Master's degree is highly desirable.
  • 4-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or design focused on innovative product development, research and development, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and finite element analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in materials selection, stress analysis, and thermal design.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in mechanical design.
