Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AVP Consumer Loan Officer II to join our team at The Bancorp Bank, N.A. This role will be responsible for developing and servicing complex consumer loans, including Securities Backed Lines of Credit (SBLOC) and Insurance Backed Lines of Credit (IBLOC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and document securities and insurance backed lines of credit for various clients, working closely with Institutional Banking affinity partners.
  • Enter application details into appropriate systems, order credit bureau reports, and address checks, following all current procedures.
  • Review client investment portfolios for SBLOCs/IBLOCs and work with the collateral management team to determine eligible loan amounts, using company guidelines for investment and insurance policy assessments.
  • Evaluate the credit risk associated with the current portfolio and make recommendations to the financial advisor if additional amounts are needed.
  • Develop close working relationships with loan applicants and client financial advisors to successfully manage issues associated with the loan application process.
  • Contact applicants and advisors to follow up on missing information, discrepancies, and ensure a timely decision is made on the loan.
  • Recommends loan disposition (approval, counteroffer, incomplete or declination) in accordance with departmental and company guidelines and risk and compliance standards.
  • Ensure loan packages are complete and support recommended positions.
  • Enter consumer loan documentation, such as applications and loan determinations, into the database.
  • Prepare approved loan documents for execution, in accordance with risk, compliance, and regulatory processes and procedures.
  • Generate documents and send them to borrowers for execution.
  • Review SBLOC/IBLOC post-closing documents, ensuring forms and agreements are signed and notarized as appropriate.
  • Monitor and track incomplete items.
  • Process Change in Terms requests for existing loans, reviewing information, completing documentation, assessing the loan against established guidelines, and forwarding a recommendation to appropriate channels.
  • Assist with coaching and training other team members on best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure processes are followed to meet all regulatory requirements, such as Regulation B & Regulation U.
  • Review weekly reports to identify items needing follow-up.
  • Recommend process improvements, assist with implementation, and update procedure manuals.
  • Perform various backup activities for other team members.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Five years of consumer lending experience in a banking environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of internal and external consumer lending policies and regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment markets and vehicles, such as stocks, bonds, and money market accounts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Proficient with LaserPro Lending Software or loan documentation software.
