Job Summary

The Retail Banker II is a key role within TD Bank, N.A. that requires a customer-centric approach to delivering exceptional banking solutions. As a Retail Banker II, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, providing personalized financial advice, and identifying opportunities to meet their banking needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the store, providing customers with expert advice on banking products and services.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of TD Bank's products and services, as well as industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to meet customers' banking needs, providing personalized financial advice and solutions.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of banking services and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity.
  • Teller experience preferred.
  • Cross-trained to take customer transactions upon hire.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to provide community services, including, but not limited to, Financial Education classes.
  • Notary License preferred.

Working Conditions

This role requires a high level of customer interaction, with frequent communication with customers, colleagues, and management. The Retail Banker II will work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. The role requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Language

This position requires fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
