Job Summary:
We are in search of a skilled Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Heber, UT. The Lead Mechanic will be responsible for:

What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and vehicles.
  • Performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance tasks.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged or worn components.
  • Dismantling and reassembling heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Operating and inspecting machinery to identify defects.
  • Testing mechanical products and equipment post-repair to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Overhauling and testing machines to guarantee operational efficiency.

Technical Skills and Diagnostics
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions to determine necessary repairs using diagnostic equipment.
  • Examining parts for damage or excessive wear using precision measuring tools.
  • Inspecting vehicles and equipment to ensure standards are met.

Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Interpreting operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Completing part request forms and ordering necessary components.
  • Creating and finalizing work orders.
  • Maintaining accurate records of time and materials used for repairs and services.

Assembly and Adjustment
  • Fitting bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics.
  • Proficiency in heavy diesel repair and maintenance.
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of fuel systems, both diesel and gasoline.
  • Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using scanners.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • CDL Class A preferred.
  • Must successfully pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.
