Sr International Logistics Analyst

As a Sr International Logistics Analyst, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of goods from around the world. Your expertise will be essential in navigating the complexities of international trade, from classifying products under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule to managing documentation and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain compliance with international shipping requirements for all import and export freight.
  • Classify all imported and exported products and raw materials under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
  • Manage and approve all documentation from vendors, carriers, and government agencies.
  • Coordinate sailing schedules based on production and demand timing, communicate, and manage exceptions to the original plan.
  • Maintain compliance with rules and regulations of the DOT, the International Air Transport Organization, and International Maritime Organization and U.S. Customs.
  • Provide real-time order status to all applicable parties.
  • Provide periodic audits to ensure compliance of U.S. regulatory requirements and internal SOPs are being adhered to.
  • Leverage industry and departmental knowledge in cross-functional teams and project-based activities as assigned.
  • Maintain shipper of choice-based relationships with brokers, forwarders, carriers, and vendors.
  • Analyze international freight charges and business costs and optimize costs with shipping partners.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a role involving logistics, supply chain, or business-related role.
  • Bachelor's degree and experience in a logistics, supply chain, or project management-related role is preferred.
  • International importing experience ideally with refrigerated containers.
