Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at RAW Logistics LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and commodities across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate with carriers to secure trucks and negotiate rates in a profitable and efficient manner.
  • Accurately track and record load status, costs, and freight audit information in our operating system.
  • Perform follow-up and reporting to management of any exceptions to company practices, procedures, or problems encountered with shippers and carriers.
  • Verify and qualify potential carriers using industry tools and relationships, under the supervision of management.
  • Communicate service expectations to all carriers utilized, initially under the direct supervision of management.
  • Ensure that loads are moving according to schedule and customers' expectations.
  • Perform assigned administrative and other tasks or duties as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or Accounting preferred.
  • Entry-level to three years of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of business hardware and software, including Excel, QuickBooks, and Word.
  • Excellent writing and typing skills.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to learn and apply knowledge of the logistics industry and broker segments.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and adherence to customer and company schedules.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic knowledge of the logistics system used in the movement of goods and commodities.
  • Basic knowledge of the Interstate Highway system and online resources available to research routes.
