Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the work of maintenance personnel, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets, ensuring that costs are optimized and aligned with business needs.
  • Investigate and resolve maintenance-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including operations teams, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve maintenance operations and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) preferred.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a maintenance leadership role, with a strong background in maintenance operations and management.
  • Proven track record of improving maintenance efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing equipment availability.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of maintenance personnel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex maintenance-related issues.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management software and systems, including SAP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High level of proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with capital appropriation requests and project management.
  • Strong root cause analysis and remediation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and high level of experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding and demonstration of troubleshooting skills and best practices.
