Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Anika Therapeutics. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing and documenting preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of process equipment, packaging equipment, and utility systems within our cGMP manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document all corrective and preventative maintenance activities on GMP facility equipment and/or utility systems in accordance with GDP requirements.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and resolve identified issues in a timely manner and in accordance with all safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the installation/qualification of new equipment/facility upgrades.
  • Assist/supervise outside contractors working on site.
  • Perform weekend walkthrough duties according to schedule.
  • Participate in an On-Call rotation for off-hour facility emergencies.
  • Ensure that all required quality and safety training is completed on time and current.
  • Provide general maintenance and support to all departments as directed.
Requirements
  • Requires a minimum High School Diploma, with trade school training preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 4 years experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in a cGMP facility.
  • General working knowledge of production/packaging equipment.
  • General working knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to follow directions specifically.
  • Professional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems).
  • Experience with CMMS system for tracking maintenance work orders.
  • 2I Industrial Wastewater Treatment license or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment.
  • Ability to obtain a Commonwealth of MA Special Operators License for Steam Boilers within one year of employment.
  • Broad trade knowledge including plumbing and general mechanical skills.
