Job Title: Final Test Equipment Engineer

At Yield Engineering Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Final Test Equipment Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Train equipment technicians in the Final test area.
  • Mentor the Technicians in the group to be efficient in their jobs.
  • Execute Checklists and procedures and update the tasks being done on the tool, as the needs require.
  • Train and certify Technicians, making sure they complete two skill practices before sign-off; and the employee feels comfortable doing the job by themselves.
  • Verify Lock-out / Tag-out is done properly with other team members and make sure they are following the Environmental Health & Safety guidelines properly.
  • Verify the Sales Order and special options listed versus the tool as built by production.
  • Verify the checklist made to inspect the tool before accepting it from production, verifying it's built correctly, and the ship loose kit is properly stocked on a rack.
  • Travel to perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues. Travel to train vendors on the Final Test Checklist.
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to the process and prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to the product, process, or system.
  • Undertake special projects as requested by your supervisor.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Support and lead process improvement activities.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in electrical engineering or electronics preferred.
  • Substantial experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working in equipment engineering in the Semiconductor, Solar, or LED industry.
  • Experience in the Final Test Area.
  • Can read schematics electrical, electronic, and mechanical drawings.
  • CAD, Solid work, and inventor knowledge are a plus.
  • Some software, PLC knowledge, and understanding are a plus.
  • Has a good understanding of electrical and electronics troubleshooting down to the component level and can train other team members.
  • A good understanding of vacuum, thermal, and Chemical Vapor Deposition systems and be able to guide the team through complex tool issues.
  • Lean manufacturing skills.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers.
Compensation:

A base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 per year; higher compensation may be available depending on advanced skills and/or specific experience.
