Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Certified Educator to join our team at a college preparatory school in the Fairfield County area. The successful candidate will specialize in upper-school level mathematics, science, and history, and will be responsible for creating a positive educational climate for students to learn in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement instructional resources for use in the classroom.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive school community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a teaching capacity.
  • Connecticut State Teaching license or equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
