Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Aveanna. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their homes.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for providing personal medical care and assistance with daily living activities that improve quality of life for our patients. This includes performing basic first aid, taking vital signs, and assisting with bathing, toileting, and grooming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on personal care and performance of simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the RN Nursing Supervisor.
  • Document patient care and progress in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current, unrestricted certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with aide care and policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements:
  • Continuing Education as required by state.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Ability to sit and climb stairs.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Strong sense of smell and touch.
Environment:
  • Ability to function in a wide variety of environments, including exposure to allergens and other conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
