Key Responsibilities
Role Summary: The selected candidate will execute standard radiographic procedures as well as more intricate tasks in accordance with established protocols and under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor and Medical Director. The role requires proficiency in patient care across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Supervisor, and participation in the department's on-call schedule may be necessary to maintain adequate coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of combined education and experience.
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Fluoroscopy (RTTF) licenses.
  • Demonstrated expertise in general radiology along with proficiency in at least one additional modality, such as:
    • Angiography
    • Special Procedures - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
    • Computerized Tomography (CT)
    • Mammography
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Anatomy and physiology relevant to imaging
    • Medical terminology associated with imaging
    • Operational principles and maintenance of imaging equipment
    • Current diagnostic radiologic procedures
    • Radiation safety standards for patients and operators
    • Film processing systems and/or PACS
    • Preparation and application of diagnostic contrast materials
  • Competencies include:
    • Minimizing radiation exposure for patients and staff
    • Executing general and specialized radiographic procedures meeting departmental quality standards
    • Recognizing and addressing allergic reactions and other critical patient conditions during examinations
    • Exhibiting professionalism and courtesy in interactions with patients and visitors
    • Effectively managing interactions with distressed or ill patients
    • Fostering collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals
    • Maintaining patient confidentiality
    • Providing reassurance to patients during procedures
    • Demonstrating organizational skills in managing work assignments
    • Ensuring accurate record-keeping
    • Maintaining high accuracy in procedural details
    • Proficiently operating departmental information systems
    • Working independently and managing on-call responsibilities
    • Upholding a sterile environment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active membership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
