Unit Director - Ethics and Compliance
Job Summary:The Unit Director - Ethics and Compliance will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance and ethics program for the assigned unit. This includes developing procedures and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of experience in compliance-related matters, a proactive solution-oriented approach to reducing risk, and a strong ability to build and sustain close working relationships with unit leadership, peers, team members, and business partners.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a compliance and ethics program for the assigned unit.
- Manage the annual audit of policies and recommend changes to policy as needed for compliance purposes.
- Review policies and practices for compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and with policies established by the Board of Regents.
- Develop and deliver training in support of the Institute's Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Conduct risk assessments of compliance areas within the unit and present findings and recommendations to unit leadership.
- Conduct internal investigations involving unit employees and present findings and recommendations to unit leadership.
- Lead and execute transformational projects related to unit compliance priorities.
- Foster collaborative relationships with team members and provide oversight and guidance on a regular basis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Risk Management, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four to six years of job-related experience.
- Required certifications, licenses, or permits: Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:SKILLS:
In-depth knowledge of compliance auditing principles and processes. Working knowledge of institutional policies as they apply to ethics and compliance, including time reporting, procurement, and travel reporting.
