Student Account Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Account Specialist to join our team at West Coast University. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of payments from students and achieving strict collection metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, families, and external vendors regarding student accounts, tuition, and fee billing and collections.
  • Perform student billing and collection activities, including issuing receipts and maintaining documentation in student electronic files.
  • Track and monitor student accounts in Campus Vue software and perform outreach to students regarding balances due and University collection policies.
  • Verify and transmit campus credit card reimbursement requests.
  • Process and reconcile credit card payments and submit documentation to the university accounting office.
  • Audit student accounts for accuracy and review accounts of upcoming graduates.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer service or collections role.
  • At least one year of experience in a student services role at a college or university.
  • Basic knowledge of standards and processes for account collections and customer service.
