Job Overview

WestLAND Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Accounting Assistant to join our Finance Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative and accounting support to our project managers, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client databases, electronic filing systems, and accounting records
  • Assist with basic timecard review and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Apply analytical skills to project accounting activities and measurements, providing timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Communicate and collaborate with project managers regarding timecards, expenses, and other accounting activities
  • Train in weekly timecard review and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure that receipts for project expenses and reimbursements are complete and accurate
  • Provide financial reporting as scheduled or requested, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business, preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting support experience with increasing responsibility
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and software
  • Intermediate Excel and proficiency in MS Office highly desired
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and programs
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize concurrent projects and deadlines
