Component Selection Specialist

Position Overview:
- Deliver expert Components Engineering assistance focused on component selection evaluations for innovative designs and addressing potential Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) challenges.
- Oversee Components Engineering initiatives related to obsolescence, standardization of engineering data, preparation of part standards, and requirements for procurement control, as well as quality issue resolution and process enhancements.
- Act as a key intermediary among part suppliers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
- Responsibilities encompass tackling obsolescence challenges, preventing counterfeit components, generating client reports, facilitating part substitutions, and preparing specifications for part procurement, along with resolving issues related to development and production parts.

Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in electrical component manufacturing processes and physical property assessments.
- Background in Components Engineering with a solid understanding of electronic components and devices, whether at the integrated circuit or discrete level.
- Familiarity with the release and qualification of new components.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of DMSMS issues.
- Experience addressing component-related failure concerns, pure tin challenges, and counterfeit part identification.
