Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engineering expertise concentrating on obsolescence management, standardization, and enhancement of processes.
  • Develop part standards, procurement control criteria, and engineering data definitions.
  • Serve as a communication bridge among part suppliers, procurement teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Address challenges related to obsolescence, counterfeit components, and part replacements.
  • Create client reports and oversee second-source part qualification.
  • Draft part procurement specifications and resolve issues related to development and production parts.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient knowledge in electrical component manufacturing processes and physical property evaluation.
  • Substantial experience in Components Engineering with a solid grasp of electronic components and devices at both integrated circuit and discrete levels.
  • Demonstrated experience with new component launches and qualification processes.
  • Electrical expertise with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Parts expertise with over 6 years of experience.
  • Performance parts expertise with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with auto parts over a span of 2-4 years.
  • Understanding of component technical specifications with 4-6 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in failure analysis with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with parts catalogs (both physical and digital) with 2-4 years of experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).
  • Awareness of component-related failure issues, pure tin concerns, and counterfeit part identification.
  • Experience in failure analysis with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Understanding of circuit failure mode analysis with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing with 2-4 years of experience.
