Position: Electrical Components Specialist
Client: GeoLogics Corporation
Location: Orlando, FL
Contract Duration: 1-year
Compensation: Up to $80/hr (W2, non-benefited)
Security Clearance: Eligibility for Secret Clearance is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engineering expertise with a focus on managing obsolescence, standardization, and enhancing processes.
  • Develop part standards, procurement control specifications, and engineering data definitions.
  • Serve as a key liaison among part suppliers, procurement teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Address challenges related to obsolescence, counterfeit components, and part substitutions.
  • Create detailed customer reports and oversee second-source part qualification.
  • Draft specifications for part procurement and tackle issues related to development and production parts.

Required Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical component manufacturing processes and physical property evaluations.
  • Significant experience in Components Engineering with a comprehensive understanding of electronic components and devices at both integrated circuit and discrete levels.
  • Demonstrated experience with new component releases and their qualification processes.
  • Electrical expertise with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Parts expertise with over 6 years of experience.
  • Performance parts expertise with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of auto parts with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with component technical specifications with 4-6 years of experience.
  • Understanding of electrical standards with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in failure analysis with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with parts catalogs (both physical and digital) with 2-4 years of experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).
  • Awareness of component-related failure issues, pure tin concerns, and counterfeit part detection methodologies.
  • Experience in failure analysis with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in circuit failure mode analysis with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in electrical testing with 2-4 years of experience.
