Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian (Pool) to join our team at the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety in our buildings.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning supplies safely and effectively.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of campus events and activities.
  • Perform light-duty repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning supplies safely and effectively.
Working Conditions

Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and moderate lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dust, wetness, humidity, machinery, vibrations, temperature and noise extremes, disease, pathogenic substances, and toxic/poisonous agents.
