About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing full respiratory care to patients within neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate patient needs by incorporating established protocols, physical assessment, physician interaction, patient history, and clinical judgement into the decision process.
  2. Provide type and frequency of service that is consistent with patient need.
  3. Apply understanding of cardio-respiratory anatomy and physiology to respiratory care practices.
  4. Maintain and apply knowledge of indications, actions, interactions, and adverse reactions of respiratory active drugs.
  5. Perform and document diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in keeping with departmental standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) program. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care is preferred. Additionally, you must hold a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Texas Medical Board and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC).

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
