Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing full respiratory care to patients within neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient needs by incorporating established protocols, physical assessment, physician interaction, patient history, and clinical judgement into the decision process.
- Provide type and frequency of service that is consistent with patient need.
- Apply understanding of cardio-respiratory anatomy and physiology to respiratory care practices.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of indications, actions, interactions, and adverse reactions of respiratory active drugs.
- Perform and document diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in keeping with departmental standards.
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) program. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care is preferred. Additionally, you must hold a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Texas Medical Board and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC).
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
