Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary:
Bard Manufacturing Company, a leader in the HVAC industry, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for performing administrative and generalist human resources functions, including benefits administration, employee relations, training, and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and conduct new hire recruitment and selection, pre-employment screening, background and reference checks, as needed
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding
- Coordinate new benefits enrollment and annual open enrollment periods
- Maintain frequent visibility on the production floor for employee support
- Respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate recognition and service award programs
- Maintain Uniform, Safety Shoe, and Prescription Safety Glass programs
- Lead and coordinate employee events and special projects
- Update electronic monitors and monthly newsletter
- Coordinate employees' leaves of absence, such as FMLA, STD, LTD
- Provide timely feedback to employees upon request of a LOA and/or receipt of a certification from physician
- Handle confidential information appropriately
- Assist with employee relations and keep Human Resources Manager informed
Requirements:
- Minimum Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
