About the Role

Aya Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing complex general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze financial information from various sources to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, and document business transactions
  • End-to-end process ownership to support finance and the business partners
  • Manage fixed asset and intangible asset ledgers including roll-forward schedules
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvement opportunities to drive positive change and automation across the organization
  • Lead accounting projects and tasks across the business
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and perform variance analysis for multiple entities
  • Maintain an internally focused client-centered mentality and passion for customer service
  • Assist in developing, automating, and maintaining monthly intercompany expense allocations
  • Investigate unusual transactions and/or fluctuations and determine appropriate accounting treatment for income statement and balance sheet assignments
  • Support fiscal year-end audit and other ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required for this position
  • 7+ years of experience with GL accounting
  • CPA license preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with major ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud preferred)
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and ability to make analytically sound, independent judgments within department/company guidelines
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills including pivot tables and V-lookups
  • Experience with accounting for foreign subsidiaries and ASC 830 guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all internal and external contacts from various disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Oriented towards efficiency through the reduction of manual processes

Compensation

Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $90,000 to $145,000 annually
